The Drawn Blank Series | Bob Dylan

Marking Bob Dylan’s first foray into fine art publishing, this groundbreaking collection was released in 2008 and reimagines sketches Bob Dylan created between 1989 and 1992 whilst touring America, Europe and Asia. 

First published in his Drawn Blank book in 1994, the original drawings of landscapes, hotel scenes and nudes were digitally enlarged onto deckle-edged paper, In total, Dylan created an impressive 320 original paintings, including the four first-ever ‘Train Tracks’ images.

A major exhibition of selected works, together with new reworked versions, premiered at Halcyon Gallery in the summer of 2008 to huge critical acclaim. Later that year, a selection of limited edition graphics from the collection was released in our galleries, with many editions selling out immediately upon release. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the collection in 2018, a special commemorative series was launched.
