Careers

As the country’s leading art retailer, we’re passionate about what we do and we believe that we offer some of the finest contemporary artwork on the market today. As a business that is committed to growth and development, we are always on the lookout for passionate and enthusiastic people to join our team!

We could not be the successful business we are without the passion, commitment and skill of our people. We are continuing to grow our network of galleries nationwide and therefore offer a range of fantastic opportunities, whether that is connecting our clients with great artwork or becoming part of the Head Office team who support our galleries.

We are still owner-managed and as a result we retain our family feel whilst being driven by creative inspiration and a strong ambition to be the best. We encourage and support everyone to achieve more through progression, training and external development opportunities. We want to continue to grow as a business, so it is vital our people grow with us.

As well as working with such incredible artwork, we offer a great range of benefits and perks, from uncapped commission to discounted products and services through our Perkbox employee benefits schemes.

If you would like to join our team, we would love to hear from you. Please check the vacancies page for more information about our current opportunities.

Equal Opportunities

Washington Green and Castle Fine Art are fully committed to supporting equal opportunities. No candidate, employee, contract worker or client should receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, gender, disability, race, parental or marital status, pregnancy, religion or belief, sexual orientation or gender reassignment or should be disadvantaged by conditions or requirements that cannot be shown to be relevant to performance.

IT Coordinator | Marc Delaney

"I’m Marc (with a ‘c’). As well as helping with the day-to-day technical issues, I travel all over the country to fit new equipment and get our galleries up to speed with the latest hardware.

"I started in the dispatch team but I displayed an interest in and knowledge of all things IT-related, so Castle created a role just for me.

“One of my responsibilities is the 3D design of our new, state-of-the-art galleries. It is quite a surreal experience to step inside one of the models I’ve built!”

Digital Merchandiser | Lecia

In addition to adding artworks to our website, Lecia curates our Hidden Gems blog each week, showcasing a selection of our finest original art. She joined Castle Fine Art three years ago as a gallery assistant before moving to Head Office to take on an online role.

In 2020, Lecia graduated with a first-class History of Art degree from the University of Leeds, where she developed a passion for the art of curating. Her classical knowledge and hands-on gallery experience now helps Lecia to give contemporary art a place in art history and curate collections that complement modern trends.

A little-known fact about Lecia is that she has a tattoo inspired by the Belgian Surrealist painter René Magritte’s 1929 piece, ‘The Treachery of Images’!

Head of Ecommerce | Matthew Lamb

"I'm Matt. I look after e-commerce, and I've been here for four years - during which time I've been pleased to see our business flourish.

"I've always enjoyed art and studied it at A-level. I visited our Cheltenham gallery and thought it was beautiful, so I couldn't quite believe my luck when I was invited in for an interview. Of all the products to work with, you can't ask for much better than art.

"Castle feels like a family-run business, even though we're a national retailer. Everyone knows each other by name and there's no one you can't pick up the phone to if you need to."
