Bob Dylan’s first Train Tracks silkscreen

The groundbreaking artistic journey of Bob Dylan reached a new high in August 2019, when he released the first-ever silkscreen rendering of his iconic 'Train Tracks' graphic. This also marked the first time that this symbolic image had been seen in a landscape format since it was released as part of The Drawn Blank Series in 2008.

Ahead of the launch, our specialist team got to work on the bespoke framing and glazing of each hand-signed silkscreen. The painterly brushstrokes and Dylan’s hand-signed signature couldn’t be clearer, as each work was framed with the most technically sophisticated glazing available. Trusted by conservation and art professionals, the high-performance glass and acrylic glazing solutions protect and display the world's most celebrated artworks, making them perfect for this prestigious artwork.

What is silkscreen printing?

An artform in its own right, the painstaking silkscreen process is completed by highly-skilled craftsmen. This edition was created by a specialist team in California, where the artist resides. Approximately 60 separate screens were used to layer pigmented and acrylic inks onto the carefully chosen archival paper to capture the richness of the colours. In total, the edition took four months to complete.
