Beginning in 1977, the pop-cultural phenomenon that is the Star Wars saga continues to this day and its visual imagery, from costumes to characters, have become iconic representations of cinematic history. An original Stormtrooper costume was featured in the recent documentary series Secrets of the Museum as it entered the permanent, prestigious collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Capturing these iconic scenes and characters of the beloved phenomenon is licensed Star Wars artist Robert Bailey whose own talent for depicting the saga on paper was noticed by George Lucas who now owns his own personal collection of Robert Bailey art! Working meticulously with charcoal pencil, Robert is able to capture the tension, joys and excitement we all felt watching Star Wars for the first time.
This original pencil on paper drawing featuring a dramatic mix of some of the early saga characters is also bespoke framed in black painted pine and spruce wood. As a result, it is the ideal way to add a smart, sophisticated touch of cinematic history to your home with a pop of colour.
