Released in 1950, Walt Disney's 'Cinderella' was the studio's 12th feature film and it was their greatest success since 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' in 1937. It won three Academy Awards including 'Best Original Song' for "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" and later gained 2 sequels and a live adaptation starring Lily James in 2015.
This authentic model sheet from the film's production would have been used by animators at Walt Disney Studios for the character of the King. Essential for maintaining consistent character appearance throughout many levels of production and protecting the secrets of Disney's cutting-edge animation, it is unsurprising that model sheets were prohibited from removal from Walt Disney Studios!
