‘Your Soul’ continues the development of YAMA's Moo character while shifting the focus towards themes of artificial happiness, social conformity, and the endless pursuit of satisfaction.
The artwork explores the idea that modern society often encourages people to seek fulfilment through external validation, material success, and consumer culture. While they might suggest happiness and contentment, the satisfaction they provide is often temporary, creating a cycle in which the desire for more never truly disappears.
In the painting, Moo is presented in a darker and more unsettling form than in previous works. Although the character retains its familiar playful appearance, sharp teeth and a forced smile introduce a sense of discomfort and contradiction. A hand pulls at Moo's cheek, physically creating a smile that does not appear genuine. This gesture becomes a symbol of the pressure to appear happy and successful, regardless of how one truly feels.
The character's expression suggests an ongoing hunger—both literal and metaphorical. Despite the forced smile, there is a sense that something is still missing. This reflects YAMA's interest in the gap between the image of happiness that society promotes and the reality of human desire, which is often difficult to fulfil completely.

Raised in post-Soviet Lithuania and entirely self-taught, YAMA began sketching imagined worlds as a child. Today, those early drawings have evolved into expressive, character-led paintings that explore themes of consumerism, conformity and identity. His bright colours, soft gradients and painterly textures contrast with the weight of the ideas beneath, inviting viewers into a world that’s gentle on the surface but rich with meaning.

Yes, Castle Fine Art is based in the UK, but we ship internationally. All of our international orders are delivered via DHL.
To ensure a secure transit, every artwork is handled with utmost care. We take precautionary measures by using foam around the piece for added safety during transportation, and then the artwork(s) are packaged in double-walled, reinforced cardboard boxes that offer superior protection. All of this ensures that your artwork arrives safely.
Most artwork orders will need to be professionally mounted and framed before being dispatched, so delivery can take up to four weeks from the date you placed your order, but we do strive to deliver your order as soon as we can.
Books and gift cards are delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note, if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
The majority of our originals and limited editions are hand signed by the artist themselves. On some occasions where we have limited edition sculptures, this is hand written into the mould before production. If you're unsure, please contact us.
