Hand-signed Flatbed Giclée on Aluminium, limited edition by Alan Somers.
Influenced by memory, photography, and imagination, Alan Somers creates work that uncovers the emotional undercurrents of a place. Rendered with remarkable depth, his evocative cityscapes transform urban environments into symphonies of shadow and luminescence.
In the 2026 Autumn collection, Somers explores fleeting moments and the impressions of a place, shaped by colour, memory and feeling. While the recognisable landmarks provide a sense of location, the artworks move deliberately beyond architectural precision.
Light becomes the thread that connects place and emotion, and the technique allows the atmosphere to emerge from the surface, bringing the artwork alive with a cinematic and expressive feel.
‘London Glows’ captures the last warmth of the evening sky sitting above the cooler, darker tones of the city. With familiar points of reference like the London Eye and St. Paul’s in view, the light begins to appear across the skyline, suggesting the extraordinary density and energy of London as day gives way to night.
Often capturing fleeting moments of illumination in urban settings, Somers’s artwork balances intimacy and grandeur, solitude and momentum, creating a sense of cinematic stillness.
“There’s no right or wrong way to create art. The right way is whatever makes you feel something.”
This artwork is also available in a set of two.

The artist
Alan Somers
Born and raised on the North side of Dublin, Alan Somers has always felt a deep connection to the city’s rhythm and energy. Growing up in a creative household – his father and brother both accomplished painters – sketchpads, pencils and paintbrushes were his constant companions from an early age.
While traditional schooling rarely sparked his imagination, art class became a refuge. There, a supportive teacher encouraged freedom over formality and urged him to trust his instincts, cultivating his lifelong passion for art.
