Exploring themes of faith, power and brotherhood, Jon Jones’s Made in Birmingham 2026 is inspired by the shadowed world of the famous Peaky Blinders. Through moments of restraint rather than action, Jones captures the figures caught in private states – thinking, waiting, believing. Painted in a black and white palette, the famous Birmingham gang characters take centre stage with the stark contrast of light and shadow, smoke and controlled light frames, emphasizing the raw emotion of the scenes.
Moving between solitude and unity, each artwork depicts quiet rituals, in this case: a prayer carried in silence – revealing the internal heavy weight of loyalty and authority. Such authority exists in stillness, silence and posture, alongside faith – Jones presents belief as personal and almost demanding, rather than performative or public - an internal compass that must translate into action, responsibility, and compassion. The Birmingham artist invites us into the moments before action - where brotherhood becomes destiny, faith becomes obligation, and power is maintained as much through restraint as through force.
In the iconic Jon Jones’s style, darkness and light function as narrative devices. The figures emerge briefly from the shadows before receding again – a thoughtful choice to mirror how identity, belief and power surface only in moments of necessity.

For all orders of artwork, we advise delivery of up to four weeks from placing your order. Many of our pieces are handmade to order just for you here in the UK. Books and gift vouchers are delivered within 2-3 working days.

We want you to love your artwork, so we offer a 14-day cooling-off period to view it in your home. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll collect it for free or you can return it to one of our galleries.

Limited Edition Giclée
Given Castle Fine Art's expertise as the UK's leading art retailer, we are committed to the highest standards, especially regarding printing. Derived from the French term gicler’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition to an original artwork. It is believed that a giclée will significantly outlast a lithographic print, keeping its vivid colour for up to 200 years.
Mark-making
Mark-making is something that Jon has mastered throughout his career, and it's how he creates representational artworks, using rough lines, marks and smudges to suggest the movement of the people he draws. 'By just using several marks I can construct a face and make someone instantly recognisable. The looseness of my work is my way of taking a risk.’

Jon Jones
Figurative artist Jon has enjoyed sell-out success in both the UK and Australia. He has been shortlisted for several prestigious awards, including the BP Portrait Award hosted by the National Portrait Gallery in London. Often depicting celebrities or the Peaky Blinders gang, his haunting portraits are perfect for both traditional and contemporary spaces. A 50-metre mural created from his original paintings is currently on display outside Birmingham's New Street station to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Yes, Castle Fine Art is based in the UK, but we ship internationally. All of our international orders are delivered via DHL.
To ensure a secure transit, every artwork is handled with utmost care. We take precautionary measures by using foam around the piece for added safety during transportation, and then the artwork(s) are packaged in double-walled, reinforced cardboard boxes that offer superior protection. All of this ensures that your artwork arrives safely.
Most artwork orders will need to be professionally mounted and framed before being dispatched, so delivery can take up to four weeks from the date you placed your order, but we do strive to deliver your order as soon as we can.
Books and gift cards are delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note, if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
The majority of our originals and limited editions are hand signed by the artist themselves. On some occasions where we have limited edition sculptures, this is hand written into the mould before production. If you're unsure, please contact us.
