Autumn 2026

Alan Somers

Autumn 2026

From the glowing skyline of London to the timeless landscapes of Venice, Alan Somers’ new 2026 Autumn collection explores the impressions of a place, shaped by colour, memory and feeling. Recognisable landmarks provide a sense of location, but the artworks deliberately move beyond architectural precision. Somers’s technique allows atmosphere and light to emerge from the surface, bringing the artworks alive with a cinematic and expressive feel.

“There’s no right or wrong way to create art. The right way is whatever makes you feel something.”

The artist

Alan Somers

Born and raised on the North side of Dublin, Alan Somers has always felt a deep connection to the city’s rhythm and energy. Growing up in a creative household – his father and brother both accomplished painters – sketchpads, pencils and paintbrushes were his constant companions from an early age.

While traditional schooling rarely sparked his imagination, art class became a refuge. There, a supportive teacher encouraged freedom over formality and urged him to trust his instincts, cultivating his lifelong passion for art.
