Dark, deadly and dangerous, The Dark Knights by the wildlife artist Robert Oxley includes three ferocious new limited edition prints.
The painter, whose art recently appeared on an episode of Channel 4's Grand Designs, took inspiration from natural history and medieval legend for this trio of hand-varnished artworks. Featuring a tiger, lion and jaguar, the collection sees Robert return to his neon colour palette and adopt an exciting new perspective. Instead of focusing on the face, Robert has painted the animals' full body, and the effect is startling: the predators step out of the darkness and seemingly off the canvas.
To mirror the 2D effect of Robert's original artworks, our specialist atelier team carefully reimagined the painting using state-of-the-art techniques. The canvas is 100% cotton, creating a premium, high-definition effect, while the high-gloss acrylic giclée varnish offers a great depth of colour and extra UV protection. Combined with the sleek frames, this creates a modern collection that can elevate any home décor.
With magazines like Homes & Gardens naming global influences as one of the season's biggest trends, the collection is a stylish exploration of some of the world's most exciting locations. From the Amazon River to Tanzania, Robert's three majestic predators create a feeling of wanderlust that can help viewers escape to somewhere beautiful.
Hand-finished by our specialist atelier team, the boxed canvas prints can be mixed and matched with houseplants and textures for a rustic aesthetic, or with modern furniture for a more contemporary look.
This set of three hand-signed editions is priced at £2,150, or £795 individually. Pictured (L-R): 'Calathea', 'Jatupo', 'Rufiji'. Shop here.
