Cheers to our brand-new Exeter gallery!

Nestled in the heart of the city centre's shopping district and just a stone's throw from Exeter Cathedral, our new gallery is the latest addition to our nationwide network of artspaces.

The opening is a triumphant comeback after a devastating fire that destroyed our former Cathedral Yard gallery, so we marked the occasion with a bustling VIP evening. On the night, we unveiled the new Vignettes collection from local artist, Nigel Mason. Plus there was delicious cocktails and canapés provided by Berloni Kitchens, along with live music. Guests met Nigel and discussed his paintings, which feature nostalgic, evocative tableaus that take inspiration from his childhood in 1950s Yorkshire.

We caught up with managing director of Castle Fine Art, Ian Weatherby-Blythe, who said: "Having established a presence in Exeter for almost 10 years, the city has been a perfect location to showcase the work of our artists. Following the devastation of the fire, we wanted to ensure the new permanent gallery would be even better."
