His colourful art lights up homes around the world, and now Alex Echo is helping to brighten the future of UK youngsters.
Alex has once again taken part in the annual Art for Youth London exhibition, which raises funds for the UK Youth charity to empower 1.5 million young people through access to high-quality youth work services.
Held at Mall Galleries in London, the affordable art fair sees contemporary artists join forces to create and sell their work for a good cause. It is visited by 2,000 people each year and boasts a wide range of art, from oils, watercolours, prints and photography to ceramics, sculptures, glass and jewellery.
This year’s exhibition took place from Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th December and was attended by its patron, Princess Anne.

Alex presented 17 pieces, 15 of which formed a suite based on social activism and climate change. The works draw upon the propaganda poster style and are inspired by street art and the Guerrilla Girls of the 1980s. He also created a dystopian piece and a LOVE print with UV ink on brushed aluminium.
Alex says: “I first took part four years ago, along with my daughter Jazzi, who was eight years old. She sold her first painting and acted as a Youth Art Ambassador. The exhibition has given us the opportunity to work together and be of service to others.”
