This incredible original unites the Bisaillon Brothers' immense range of artistic techniques and commentary on pop culture.
The striking cut-out shape of the bottle hints at sculptural relief which is a technique used as far back as Ancient Greece and popularised in 19th century America on momentous government buildings. Contrastingly, the brothers have also added digital photography before intensely applying vibrant acrylic paint. The result is a radical amalgamation of the past, present and future in the form complex artistic techniques.
At the same time, the bottle of Patrón highlights our shared perception of the world based on brands that enhance our life while the Jbis barcode functions as Jeffrey and Michael's signature in an era of increasing commercialisation; bringing the some of the original ideas of Pop Art into the 21st century.
