Limited Time Only
Hand-signed Flatbed Giclée on Glass Limited Edition Set by Richard Rowan.
Inspired by time spent in Scotland and across the British Isles, contemporary fine artist Richard Rowan continues his exploration of strength and transformation in his Autumn 2025 collection.
Embodying Rowan’s enduring fascination with nature’s polarities: drama and calm, darkness and illumination, isolation and connection, Richard Rowan distils the raw drama and quiet serenity of the natural world into breathtaking clarity.
From high-contrast, monochrome palettes to soft, radiant horizons, the artworks exhibit British landscapes in all their breathtaking splendour. Drawing the viewer into a scene perfectly poised between motion and stillness, it’s a meditation on the timeless scenic variety provided by the natural world.
Each artwork is paired with a bespoke soundtrack by composer Tony Anderson from his album Nuit, cinematic soundscapes that echo the emotional cadence of the paintings. “Éphémère” accompanies 'Sun’s Quiet Watch', mirroring its quiet ascent into light, whilst “Lune” sets the stage for the intensity of 'The Gathering', deep and resonant, capturing the quiet strength of the storm. Together, sight and sound create a multisensory journey through light, reflection, and atmosphere, a celebration of the endless inspiration of nature’s enduring contrasts.
Now released as signed limited edition artworks printed directly onto glass, each piece retains the captivating brilliance and depth of the original, reflecting light and movement as if changing with every passing hour.
In this collection, Rowan’s distinctive reverse glass painting technique has allowed him to retain crisp details whilst developing expansive skies, immortalising mesmerising moments. An innovator in his field, Richard Rowan has pioneered the contemporary reverse-glass painting technique, a process as intricate as it is unforgiving. Working directly onto the back of the glass, the highlights and fine details of the foreground are laid first, followed by layers into the distance building atmosphere, light, and depth.

The artist
Richard Rowan
From the Icelandic wilderness to the fiery horizons of Thailand and towering mountains of Norway to spectacular Scotland, his atmospheric scenes allow viewers to escape from everyday life, creating a sense of intrigue in any living space. Richard is the only artist to be creating art in this style, and his incredible landscapes are so detailed that they are often mistaken for photographs, when in fact each one has been meticulously painted by hand using his reverse painting technique.
As the only fine artist successfully creating artworks in this style, Richard has become a part of the history of the glass art form, which dates back to Roman times and can also be seen in the Gothic period. Unlike canvas, glass interacts with the light, bringing his works to sparkling life.
