THE FINER DETAILS

Hand-signed by the artist

The artworks are hand-signed by James McQueen.

Lenticular Panel on Acrylic

Offering the viewer two images in one depending on the view angle, his contemporary lenticular designs allow McQueen to capture more than one thematic narrative in a single artwork. Using a special lens to create the optical illusion, the lenticulars have been produced using the highest quality material. Each piece is individually printed to ensure the best multi-frame effect which, combined with the special extruded lens material, guarantees the ultimate fine art lenticular.

Ready to Hang

The artworks arrive ready to hang, ensuring a hassle-free setup. Simply unbox, choose your perfect spot, and enjoy its beauty instantly.

Lenticular care information

Due to the fragile nature of the lenticular lens, please ensure the work doesn’t come into contact with any sharp objects (scissors, jewellery etc.) to limit the risk of scratching/chipping of the surface. To keep the artwork in optimal condition, do not hang in direct sunlight or above a heating source. To clean your artwork: 1 - Using a lightly moistened, soft lint-free microfibre cloth wipe in the direction of the lens (up and down), being mindful of the signature and edition number. 2 - For any stubborn marks you may use a mild detergent (washing-up liquid), mixed with water in a spray bottle. Spray directly onto your microfibre cloth and wipe in the direction of the lens. DO NOT use any solvent-based chemicals. 3 - Dry the lenticular lens using a fresh, dry, lint-free microfibre cloth to remove any water marks / residue. As the case with any artwork, always take care when handling to prevent the risk of damage to the image and/or the frame.

Part of

Double Take 2026

McQueen’s work carries the unmistakable influence of pop and street art, and like the pioneering figures of those movements, he continues to challenge expectations of contemporary art. The layering in the artworks is both physical and symbolic, humour revealing honesty, surface giving way to subtext. His deliberately chosen titles subtly suggest narratives, leaving space for the viewer to interpret and form their own connection.

The artist

James McQueen

You should never judge a book by its cover, and McQueen is keeping his firmly under wraps. The elusive artist, who operates under a name as fictitious as the titles he paints, has so far launched one collection of his book-themed Anthology works, three collections of his Non-Fiction works with Castle Fine Art and, the most recent Special Edition collection. They proved to be a page-turner with our collectors, and McQueen's limited edition captivating works are extraordinarily popular and in incredibly high demand - with the Non-Fiction collection selling out in just hours!
