On adding new colour and texture to his originally monochromatic sketches, Bob Dylan wrote: "every picture spoke a different language to me as the various colours were applied". This is emblematic of The Drawn Blank Series where Dylan revisited drawings that he made while on tour in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Since being exhibited within the ground-breaking touring exhibition Retrospectrum, which has so far opened in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, Dylan's The Drawn Blank Series remains enduringly significant, 14 years after it was first released.

Taken from the The Drawn Blank Series – which comprises sketches created by Dylan between 1989 and 1992 – the piece boasts his signature loose lines and instinctive brushstrokes. For the 10-year anniversary release in 2018, he adopted a bolder, more stylistic approach – signifying another chapter in his visual autobiography. Following this, it was released as the first-ever silkscreen in 2019 and a four-piece collection in 2020.

Yes, Castle Fine Art is based in the UK, but we ship internationally. All of our international orders are delivered via DHL.
To ensure a secure transit, every artwork is handled with utmost care. We take precautionary measures by using foam around the piece for added safety during transportation, and then the artwork(s) are packaged in double-walled, reinforced cardboard boxes that offer superior protection. All of this ensures that your artwork arrives safely.
Most artwork orders will need to be professionally mounted and framed before being dispatched, so delivery can take up to four weeks from the date you placed your order, but we do strive to deliver your order as soon as we can.
Books and gift cards are delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note, if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
The majority of our originals and limited editions are hand signed by the artist themselves. On some occasions where we have limited edition sculptures, this is hand written into the mould before production. If you're unsure, please contact us.
