Celebrating Bob Barker's 15 years as an artist with us, 'From Yesterday to Here' is an extraordinary book that traces the artist's incredible journey and some of his most critical artworks, themes and inspirations. Alongside this amazing text, framed in textured black radiata pine, is a small exclusive limited edition artwork from the accompanying collection.
The heartening artwork is a homage to two of the artist's most loved and recognisable paintings; 'Just Us Ducks' and 'Family Reunion'. Here, the little girl has grown a little older as has the duck. The title of the piece comes from a family saying 'welly bob day', used on a day when it is raining but the children still want to play outside. The bright yellow of the coat and duck continue to perfectly contrast the monochromatic setting which, this time, is an elegant yet industrial cobbled street.

We offer a 14-day cooling-off period so you can view the artwork in your home. If it's not right for you, we’ll collect it free of charge or you can return it to one of our galleries.

Northern Impressionist Bob Barker returns with more additions to his From Yesterday to Here series reflecting life and love in his beloved Yorkshire, his family, friends and memories. His signature grisaille style of grey monochromes is highlighted with vibrant colour, infusing the images of the northern towns and cities he loves with great warmth, wit and humanity. Pudsey-born Bob now lives in Bradford, and after several careers - butcher, videographer and owner of a media and production house - he can now spend all his time with his first love, painting, and delighting his loyal base of collectors from his 17 years with Castle Fine Art.

Inspired by the Yorkshire mill towns that shaped his youth, Bob is known for his 'Northern Impressionism' style. Depicting touching childhood, family and romantic scenes, his nostalgic artworks feature a neutral palette of greys and browns with splashes of vibrant colour and a unique inner glow created by the manipulation of light and shadow.

Yes, Castle Fine Art is based in the UK, but we ship internationally. All of our international orders are delivered via DHL.
To ensure a secure transit, every artwork is handled with utmost care. We take precautionary measures by using foam around the piece for added safety during transportation, and then the artwork(s) are packaged in double-walled, reinforced cardboard boxes that offer superior protection. All of this ensures that your artwork arrives safely.
Most artwork orders will need to be professionally mounted and framed before being dispatched, so delivery can take up to four weeks from the date you placed your order, but we do strive to deliver your order as soon as we can.
Books and gift cards are delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note, if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
The majority of our originals and limited editions are hand signed by the artist themselves. On some occasions where we have limited edition sculptures, this is hand written into the mould before production. If you're unsure, please contact us.
