Original 21st century Pop Art | Bisaillon Brothers

Their work has appeared in the likes of Artexpo New York (2019), Art Basel (2018) and Spectrum Miami (2018), and we are now thrilled to present the latest drop from the Bisaillon Brothers. Fresh from their New York studio, this series of over 20 original mixed media artworks includes one-off pieces from some of their most iconic collections. The brothers – who told us they were "super excited" for the launch – have explored techniques from throughout art history, including those used in Pop Art, minimalism and even ancient Greece. Modern Simplicity

Exploring architecture and fine art, this series sees a flawless resin surface offset by vibrant geometric holes, which the brothers call "lightwells".

These repeated holes lend themselves to concepts of minimalist sculpture, while the vibrant colours deliberately project light onto the surface behind to further extend the impact of the artwork.

Pop Collection

Describing the series as “an intermediary between iconic imagery and culture”, the brothers interpret the world around us in the form of influential figures and brands, including John Lennon, David Bowie and Audrey Hepburn.

Jeffrey created the colourful abstract elements, while Michael used trinary code to create the number systems and codes. The bright colours are fused with a serene resin texture to add a modern aesthetic to any home.

Pop Simplicity

This strikingly contemporary series captures sirens from the silver screen and figures from pop culture – including the famous outlaws Bonnie and Clyde! Along with monochrome and multicoloured elements, some of the pieces feature a hint of glitter in the resin to add a different feel and texture.

The minimalist holes add another dimension to the surface of the artworks, which incoporate vintage imagery – including real-life photography, publicity stills and posters – plus iconic quotes and brand logos.

Modern Visage

An homage to iconic brands and celebrities, this series – named after the French for ‘face’ – uses the idea of cut-out space to create a 3D effect. Within each mixed media painting, a relief is created to form a wall sculpture.

Digital photography is layered with vibrant acrylic paint to unite the past, present and future through complex artistic techniques that date back to ancient Greece.
