Revolutionising ink-in-water art with Plume

Combining high-speed photography, moving images and ethereal soundscapes, Plume’s surreal ink-in-water art marked them out as a rising talent at our Summer Exhibition in 2016.

“It’s a voyeuristic look at the hypnotic behaviour of different-coloured paints in water," graphic designer Ernest Otoo and photographer Andy Pilsbury explain. "We’re pushing the boundaries to understand the true potential.”

Through high-speed photography, engineered lighting, soundscapes and colour suspensions in water, Plume create hypnotic tableaus which ensnare the viewer both visually and aurally.
