The immensely talented and internationally acclaimed John Myatt has interpreted this enduring painting in a limited edition where the water lilies and the iconic Giverny pond take full stage. From Monet’s series of Chrysanthemum still-life paintings to water-lily ponds and vibrant rose arches, the fascination with flora and water at Giverny is constantly present throughout his work. The Impressionist painter memorialised Giverny in numerous pieces, being renowned for his dream-like quality though his complex impressionistic style, vivid colour palette, and focus on the water and the flora of the village. Instantly recognisable, Monet's Water Lilies capture the complex beauty, fragility, and exuberance of nature. Considered to be one of the most distinctive and captivating series through there observation of colour and light, the Water Lilies, or Les Nymphéas opened the path to abstract painting.

It is almost unbelievable that the soft swathes of paint and hazy, yet bold forms have been so perfectly echoed in this Hand Embellished Giclée by John Myatt. The British artist who starred in Sky Art's 'Fame in the Frame' and soon to be feature film about his artistic career, was involved in what Scotland Yard described as "the biggest art fraud of the 20th century". Now, he works with law enforcement to catch other fraudsters and produces his incredible series 'Genuine Fakes' where his astonishing knack for emulating the styles of history's best artists- from Vincent Van Gogh to Paul Cezanne- is harnessed into wonderfully realistic artworks that allow anyone to own and display their own "Genuinely fake" Monet.

Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork. The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye).
Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black. It is believed that a giclée will significantly outlast a lithographic print, keeping its vivid colour for up to 200 years.

Yes, Castle Fine Art is based in the UK, but we ship internationally. All of our international orders are delivered via DHL.
To ensure a secure transit, every artwork is handled with utmost care. We take precautionary measures by using foam around the piece for added safety during transportation, and then the artwork(s) are packaged in double-walled, reinforced cardboard boxes that offer superior protection. All of this ensures that your artwork arrives safely.
Most artwork orders will need to be professionally mounted and framed before being dispatched, so delivery can take up to four weeks from the date you placed your order, but we do strive to deliver your order as soon as we can.
Books and gift cards are delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note, if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
The majority of our originals and limited editions are hand signed by the artist themselves. On some occasions where we have limited edition sculptures, this is hand written into the mould before production. If you're unsure, please contact us.
