Presenting a poignant - yet surreal and humorous - scene, FunnyTummy centres a bewildered Homer Simpson. Finding himself in the middle of a chaotic clash with riot police, Homer’s signature doughnut has slipped from his grasp, symbolising the loss of simple pleasures in tumultuous times. The imposing force and anonymity of the police sharply contrast with Homer’s vulnerability and naivety.
Exploring themes of societal tension, conflict, and authority, FunnyTummy blends pop culture and socio-political commentary in this vivid and dynamic artwork. Creating a compelling narrative, the artist invites the viewer to reflect on the absurdity and fragility of the modern world.
