‘Form & Flora’ - Gary James McQueen Exhibition at W1 Curates

-

Sculptural storyteller Gary James McQueen uses groundbreaking 3D technology to create art that challenges social perceptions of beauty and embraces the transience of life.

Formerly a fashion designer and photographer, Gary worked closely with his uncle, the late, great fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen, whose influence can be felt throughout his work. Blending fine art values and digital design, Gary creates a totally unique viewing experience – now at a scale never seen before.

Built to deliver the most cutting-edge projects in art, fashion and music, W1 Curates is a public art platform located at Flannels London Flagship store on Oxford Street. Harnessing state-of-the-art screen technology to showcase some of the most influential artists from around the globe, it has previously been home to exhibitions by Tracey Emin, Anish Kapoor, David Bailey, Jeff Koons and David LaChapelle.

Now, Gary James McQueen’s art has been brought to life through the uninhibited screen technology that wraps around the outside of the building and within the exhibition space inside.

Visitors can appreciate the exquisite details of his exhibition ‘Form & Flora’ up close and personal, a rich fusion of myth, artistry, and timeless elegance. They can also discover how his extraordinary work has been translated for the first time into a limited-edition silkscreen collection, exclusively for Castle Fine Art.
