Stylist Preferences

Inspired by artists like Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Roy Lichtenstein, Romero describes his work as "colourful, happy and hopeful". His pop-cubist style artworks are widely celebrated, having been exhibited in 30 countries across four continents. Bursting with colour, this brand new selection of artworks features Romero's signature bold lines, stripes and polka dots, along with hand-finished diamond dust!

From Dolce and Gabbana’s closing dress in their 2018 Alta Moda show to Coca Cola’s ‘Happy Holidays’ campaign back in 2011, Romero has worked with some of the biggest names in the world. His collaborations with Barbie, Betty Boop and Disney have seen him transform some of the world’s best-loved characters, including Tinkerbell, Dumbo and Winnie the Pooh. And it isn’t just his collaborators that are on a large scale; he’s created giant displays for venues and events including the APM Mall in Hong Kong, Carnival Brazil and Super Bowl XLI 2006 in Miami - with the latter watched by 140 million people.

Giving back

Raised as one of nine children to a single mother in Recife, Brazil, Romero has never forgotten his humble roots. Living by his own motto - ‘Art is too important not to share’ - he has donated time, art and resources to over 250 charitable organisations, including The Prince’s Trust.

In 2017, to celebrate the singer’s 70th birthday, he donated 50 of his ‘Music Man’ portraits to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The original work sold for £130,000, with Elton describing it as a “fun, fabulous, rock ‘n’ roll portrait” and all proceeds going to the charity.
