A hand-signed Giclée on Canvas Board limited edition artwork by Paul Corfield.

Whilst Paul Corfield is keeping his well-known and loved surrealism style, in this new Paul Corfield Spring 2024 collection, the artist is adding a modern twist to his dreamlike landscapes. With inspiration drawn from the Scottish highland mountains to Dorset coasts, the new limited-editions artworks have elements of seasonal changes within them, focusing on a deep orange sunset, a misty Greenland, and a majestic mountain scene. Known for his beautifully detailed pieces that create a sense of escapism and freedom, immersing collectors in nostalgia.

Each piece has a dreamlike quality to them created by soft and diffused lighting, with ranges of colours from calming pastels to vibrant colours which spark a sense of tranquillity and serenity. The colour pallets chosen within this collection create the idea of escapism evoking the feeling of curiosity, wonder and imagination.

Initially painted as a small study for Brathay 10 Marathons in 10 days, which a charity event staged around Lake Windermere in the Lake District National Park, “Lakeside Cottage” is a perfect dreamlike landscape. Paul has focused on creating a misty and atmospheric scene with the gentle mist that is present within the background of the piece which is elevated by the small details such as the sailboat and the steam coming from the little white house.

This artwork is a Giclée on Canvas Board hand-signed by Paul Corfield.

This piece is also available in a set of three. Find out more about this collection here, or alternatively shop more of Paul Corfield’s art.

Giclée on Canvas Board

Given Castle Fine Art's expertise as UK's leading art retailer, we are committed to the highest standards specially regarding printing. Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork. It is believed that a giclée will significantly outlast a lithographic print, keeping its vivid colour for up to 200 years.

About

Paul Corfield

About

Paul Corfield

From sunset-soaked hills to seaside cliffs and snow-laden trees, Paul’s beautiful landscapes explore the beauty of the British countryside. Presented an idealised view of nature, his limited edition prints and original oil paintings add a feeling of peace and tranquility to any living space.

Paul has been with our publisher, Washington Green, since 2005, and his timeless, idealistic style proves to be eternally popular. As you may have guessed from his work, home means everything to Paul, He has lived in Dorset all his life, and he has never lived more than ten miles from his favourite painting location of Middle Beach at Studland near Swanage. “I've probably painted it a hundred times – maybe more!”
