Dan Lane's powerful new romantic sculpture

Artist Dan Lane brings an extraordinary new work for those who celebrate love in all its shades. ‘Look At Me, Tell Me You Love Me’ features a pair of skulls in the centre of a heart, surrounded by golden butterflies, all atop a marble base. The title of the limited edition sculpture is carved on top of the heart, echoing Dan’s desire to make his pieces exciting to view from all angles.

Blending the dark and light of love

Dan has been planning the sculpture for three or four years and searched hard to find the right kind of materials to bring it to life. He has based it on one of his most popular limited edition prints ‘Look At Me, Tell Me You Love Me’, and reimagining it in three dimensions has made his concept even more emotionally involving; Dan had previously worked as an engineer, so the technical elements of creating the new work were as challenging to him as the artistic ones.

He says he’s working harder than ever to make new works in his studio at his home in Kent; after 15 years in engineering, his art practice has taken off in a bigger way than he could ever have imagined, with a house full of work which he says his wife is loath to get rid of!

Dan is a master of blending the dark and light in his pieces; his signature skulls are lifted by elegant elements such as butterflies, hummingbirds and flowers, which give his works an ethereal look which accepts that life is a mix of romance and realism.

‘Look at Me, Tell Me You Love Me’ is a bold and passionate piece which could make an extraordinary gift for someone equally extraordinary; secure your limited edition sculpture by clicking here.
