Keith Maiden's Autumn 2015 Collection draws inspiration from the transcript of a 1965 broadcast speech by Paul Harvey, entitled 'If I Were The Devil'.
Halo To A Noose is inspired by the biblical tale of the 'feeding of the 5000' and a paragraph within the If I Were The Devil speech; "If I were the devil I'd peddle narcotics to whom I could, I'd sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I'd tranquilise the rest with pills." It offers Keith's take on the good turned bad; a modern day 'saviour' helping people, but instead of feeding them with food he is dealing drugs. Rich with symbolism and details, this piece offers hidden meanings for the viewer to decode.
