Marvel Superhero unique print hand-signed by the late great John Romita Sr.

Published in 1973, “Avengers #111” is a Marvel Superhero unique edition of the issue’s cover, hand-signed by John Romita Sr.

The original Avengers team debuted in 1963 as a group of superheroes, including Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye who were assembled to defeat Loki and his army in New York City. The group has since then evolved and faced a host of new villains. The group as expanded the Marvel Universe into movies with the cinematic debut as “Marvel: The Avengers” in 2012, followed by sequels in Age of Ultron (2015), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

American comic book artist, the late great John Romita Sr., is known not only for his realistic, naturalist and fluid art style but also for his work on Marvel Comics including The Amazing Spider-Man and for co-creating iconic characters including Wolverine, Mary Jane Watson, and Luke Cage. Having heavily influenced the iconic look of Marvel comics we adore today, Romita was later promoted as Marvel’s art director and later inducted in the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2002 and the Inkwell Awards Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame in 2020.
