Now hanging in The National Gallery, Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 'The Dancer' was painted in 1874 and was included in the first exhibition of the 'Société anonyme coopérative des artistes, peintres, sculpteurs, graveurs, etc.'; later dubbed the Impressionists. Here, Renoir's legacy as the leading figure of Impressionist style has been captured by world-famous art forger turned "Genuine Fakes" artist John Myatt and was created for the artists upcoming feature film in which this painting will feature.
