Careers

Over 20 years ago, we opened our first gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon. With the help of our staff, we are now the country’s leading art retailer. That’s why we choose to invest in our people. And with our nationwide network of galleries continuously expanding, we’re always on the lookout for enthusiastic new starters to join our team.

There’s no other company where you’ll be able to work with some of the world’s most talented artists, including Bob Dylan, Ronnie Wood and Stan Lee. You’ll build on your skills within the luxury industry while benefitting from the family feel of an owner-managed business.

As an equal opportunities company, we are committed to the development of our staff and offer training, bonus schemes and progression opportunities to reward our employees. Plus you’ll have access to Perkbox and its range of discounts for shopping, leisure and entertainment.

We originally set out to offer every customer a welcoming environment where they can enjoy original and limited edition art, and this is still at the heart of everything we do. Our company is based on our CUP motto: client first, unity and passion.

N VENETIA GALLERY MANAGER

Gallery Manager | Venetia Offord

"I’m Venetia. I’m originally a Londoner, but I made my home in the beautiful rolling hills of Devon and now look after our Exeter gallery.

“I wanted to be surrounded by beautiful art and meet other like-minded people, so this is the perfect job. Sharing the artwork with our clients and understanding what they might be looking for is so rewarding.

“Customer experience is the most important thing for us, so pop that cork, make that coffee and impress them with your passion and knowledge for the art we sell.”

N MARC HEAD OFFICE IT COORDINATOR

IT Coordinator | Marc Delaney

"I’m Marc (with a ‘c’). As well as helping with the day-to-day technical issues, I travel all over the country to fit new equipment and get our galleries up to speed with the latest hardware.

"I started in the dispatch team but I displayed an interest in and knowledge of all things IT-related, so Castle created a role just for me.

“One of my responsibilities is the 3D design of our new, state-of-the-art galleries. It is quite a surreal experience to step inside one of the models I’ve built!”

N AIMEE CARDIFF ART CONSULTANT

Art Consultant | Aimee Stott

"I'm Aimee. I'm a single mum to two little boys, and I joined our Cardiff gallery in 2017.

"I chose Castle because they're a high street gallery and anything which makes culture accessible to the public can only be a good thing. We also have an incredible range of artists, each of whom brings something different and beautiful.

"The company truly looks after you, and I'm proud to be a part of a company that had such a humble beginning and has blossomed into something so successful."

N MATT HEAD OFFICE HEAD OF ECOMMERCE

Head of Ecommerce | Matthew Lamb

"I'm Matt. I look after ecommerce, and I've been here for four years - during which time I've been pleased to see our business flourish.

"I've always enjoyed art and studied it at A-level. I'd visited our Cheltenham gallery and thought it was beautiful, so I couldn't quite believe my luck when I was invited in for an interview. Of all the products to work with, you can't ask for much better than art.

"Castle feels like a family-run business, even though we're a national retail. Everyone knows each other by name and there's no one you can't pick up the phone to if you need to."

N ROBYN HEAD OFFICE PR EXECUTIVE

PR Executive | Robyn Smith

"I'm Robyn. I work at our head office in Birmingham and help to promote our business, our artists and our galleries across the UK.

"I was immediately drawn to Castle due to its reputation as the UK's leading fine art publisher. The opportunity to support some of the biggest talents in the industry - including Bob Dylan and Ronnie Wood - was too hard to pass up.

"My favourite moment so far has been launching our 'Young Fine Artist' programme to work with communities to inspire the next generation of artistic talent. If you're lucky enough to join us, you'll never have to experience the 'back to work' fear again!"
