A hand-painted animation cel, signed by William Hanna, Joseph Barbera and Gene Kelly.
This authentic limited edition cel is taken from our Hanna-Barbera collection, which features rare animation art from the legendary cartoon studio.
Originally released in 1995, it was recreated from the legendary dance sequence between Jerry Mouse and the Hollywood actor Gene Kelly in the 1945 musical comedy Anchor's Aweigh. The masterful blend of live action and animation has been credited with changing the direction of animation art (although 10,000 new drawings had to be created after animators forgot to draw in shadows for Jerry!).
The vivid colours of the original artwork were captured by tracing and hand-painting onto the cel using original Hanna-Barbera colours, with the paper background created using a fine printing process. Featuring a seal of authenticity and hand-framed by our specialist team, this vibrant artwork is a must-have for any cartoon fan.
