A handmade studio edition 3D wall sculpture by popular contemporary artist Nic Joly.
This eloquent and intricate wall sculpture by Nic Joly features real sand from the artist's favourite beach in Turkey as well as stones from the West Bay Dorset! The island itself is constructed and carved out of polystyrene and plaster while the tree is hand-carved and cast in resin. The beautifully eye-catching sun also features authentic Turkish sand and 18-Karat gold which brings the whole miniature scene together in a satisfying harmony of colours and forms. These stunning hand embellishments ensure that the vartwork makes a powerful yet refined artistic statement in any interior.
A continuation of Nic Joly's collection Lessons Learnt, which launched in mid 2022, this artwork joins the rest of the release in casting an eye on lessons of personal growth. An intimate look into the artist's life and work, this body of work is also highly relatable in its important messages around mental health including the stigma of men reaching out for support as well as practicing patience with yourself; adding to the beauty of this already magnificent 3D artwork.
