Well-loved artist Bob Barker is known for his heartwarming depictions of love, family and childhood. His signature ‘Northern Impressionism’ style contrasts light and shadow with an inner glow inspired by the mill towns of his youth.
This piece was created after the Jo Cox Foundation approached Bob. Named after the late MP, the organisation brings together people to build a kinder, more tolerant world. Each year, they run a 'Great Get Together', which unites communities through street parties. Bob has symbolised this in the bunting, while the Yorkshire Rose on the wall signifies Jo's Yorkshire heritage.
£50 from the purchase of each artwork will be donated to the Jo Cox Foundation.
