Celebrating 20 years of collaboration with Castle Fine Art and marking a milestone year for Paul Corfield, the Summer 2026 collection reflects on the artistic journey that has shaped his work over the past two decades.
Corfield’s work has been particularly influenced by the ateliers of Florence and the teaching tradition of The Florence Academy of Art, whose artistic lineage can be traced back to the 18th century. This study has gently transformed the way he paints. Where earlier works were carefully planned and highly controlled, often beginning with detailed drawings, his paintings now develop more organically. Each brushstroke becomes part of a process of discovery, allowing the finished work to emerge naturally over time.
Across the celebratory collection, traditional methods meet Corfield’s distinctive style - each painting reflects a willingness to explore, experiment and allow the work to evolve, resulting in landscapes that feel both carefully considered and naturally found.
‘Day’s Gentle Close’ followed an unexpected path. Originally an abandoned experimental canvas, it was never intended to become a finished work. Corfield later returned to it, allowing the painting to develop before carefully mounting the completed canvas onto a wooden panel. What began as an unfinished study became one of the collection’s most rewarding paintings.
Summer 2026 celebrates not only twenty years with Castle Fine Art, but the quiet process of learning that continues to shape Corfield’s work. These are paintings born from patience, curiosity and a deep appreciation for the craft of painting — inviting us to pause, look a little closer, and spend a moment within their calm and atmospheric worlds.

If you order multiple artworks, they may arrive separately for efficiency.

We offer a 14-day cooling-off period so you can view the artwork in your home. If it's not right for you, we’ll collect it free of charge or you can return it to one of our galleries.

Given Castle Fine Art's expertise as the UK's leading art retailer, we are committed to the highest standards, especially regarding printing. Derived from the French term gicler’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition to an original artwork. It is believed that a giclée will significantly outlast a lithographic print, keeping its vivid colour for up to 200 years.

The Summer 2026 collection marks 20 years of collaboration between Paul Corfield and Castle Fine Art. The collection celebrates two decades of artistic evolution while reflecting the qualities that continue to define Corfield’s practice: curiosity, patience and a willingness to trust the painting process and let each work reveal itself.
Inspired by the traditions of classical painting and the historic ateliers of Florence, Corfield’s practice has evolved from carefully planned compositions towards a more instinctive, organic approach, embracing experimentation and allowing each work to develop naturally. Throughout the collection, traditional techniques including impasto, glazing and layered colour are combined with Corfield’s distinctive style. The result is a series of atmospheric landscapes brought to life by light and detailed texture.

Paul Corfield
From sunset-soaked hills to seaside cliffs and snow-laden trees, Paul's beautiful landscapes explore the beauty of the British countryside. Presented an idealised view of nature, his limited edition prints and original oil paintings add a feeling of peace and tranquility to any living space.
Paul has been with our publisher, Washington Green, since 2005, and his timeless, idealistic style proves to be eternally popular. As you may have guessed from his work, home means everything to Paul, He has lived in Dorset all his life, and he has never lived more than ten miles from his favourite painting location of Middle Beach at Studland near Swanage. 'I've probably painted it a hundred times - maybe more!'

Yes, Castle Fine Art is based in the UK, but we ship internationally. All of our international orders are delivered via DHL.
To ensure a secure transit, every artwork is handled with utmost care. We take precautionary measures by using foam around the piece for added safety during transportation, and then the artwork(s) are packaged in double-walled, reinforced cardboard boxes that offer superior protection. All of this ensures that your artwork arrives safely.
Most artwork orders will need to be professionally mounted and framed before being dispatched, so delivery can take up to four weeks from the date you placed your order, but we do strive to deliver your order as soon as we can.
Books and gift cards are delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note, if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
The majority of our originals and limited editions are hand signed by the artist themselves. On some occasions where we have limited edition sculptures, this is hand written into the mould before production. If you're unsure, please contact us.
