In his new collection The Art of Being Untamed, Hefferan explores individuality, experience and the many layers that shape who we are. Through vivid colour, layered symbolism and expressive mark-making, each figure becomes a kind of living archive, holding traces of memory, desire, vulnerability, strength and rebellion.

Created using watercolour, gouache and graphite pencil, each work is built through layers of colour, texture and imagery. These layers suggest the accumulation of experience, memories, emotions, relationships and moments that become part of who we are.
