Art Consultation
Centred around societal themes such as consumerism and capitalism, Swansea based artist Rory Hancock is renowned for his captivating photorealistic oil paintings with a constantly evolving style reflected in his thought-provoking artworks.
Influenced by artists such as David LaChapelle, Miles Aldridge and Andy Warhol, Hancock's work is a testament to his ability to merge traditional techniques with contemporary themes, creating visually stunning and intellectually stimulating works of art.
With an intriguing later of historical context and visual richness, the original is a harmonious blend of the past with the present, becoming a contemporary interpretation of timeless masterpieces. By using techniques such as swirling and distorting the classical artwork, the artist invites views to question their own perceptions, challenging conventional notions and encapsulating the constant changing perspectives of art throughout the ages.
“The swirling and distortion in my painting are not meant to detract from the original's significance but rather to highlight the malleability of our perspectives and the constant re-evaluation of art's role in our cultural narrative.”
Serving as visual metaphor, this original is a reinterpretation of how classic works are never static, aiming to reflect the fluidity of how these works of art are appreciated.
“As an artist, I see my role as a bridge between tradition and the contemporary, inviting a dialogue that bridges the past and present, and ultimately, illuminates the evolving landscape of our cultural identity.”
This bold, colourful, and thought-provoking original will be a statement piece in any setting.
