At the heart of Punky Doodle Dandies lies a raw exploration of duality – twin characters with mirror expressions, one smiling, one frowning – spiralling eyes and stitch-like mouths symbolising the tension between sensibility and silence.

The collection is a vivid reflection of Boy George himself who, as a Gemini, is comfortable with contradiction. H appiness and sadness, humour and defiance, exhibiting and concealing. An outsider and an icon. The works channel the dualities he has long embraced as they stand in dialogue with one another, reflecting the internal push-pull of emotion and expression.
