Roxy Winterburn is a woman of many talents. A sculptor, first-class chemistry graduate, open water diver, record-breaking powerlifter and VW Beetle restorer, she is above all else a lover of animals. Her debut collection, Circle of Life, combines her childhood memories of Kenya and passion for Disney with a little scientific wizardry.
She adds: "I would love people to feel a connection to the characters I have created. I want people to see them and want to give them a loving home."
As a child, Roxy's father, the successful sculptor Steve Winterburn, took her along on his travels to Africa. While on safari, she visited elephants at an orphanage and saw a baby hippo in the wild. She also spent a lot of time with penguins at the zoo, watching them grow and interact with each other. She is an advanced open water diver, having dived in the Mediterranean, Indian Ocean and Egypt.
