For this painting, Bob took a trip to the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley to explore his industrial roots.
For the red and crimson reflection in the water, he used a classic technique called ‘glaze’, which is influenced by the Old Masters of the Renaissance period.
By building through layers of glazes, Bob is able to create subtle hints of colour while retaining the timeless ‘Bob Barker’ look.
