In this stunning original contemporary artwork, the Bisaillon brothers have chosen metallic pigment for the holes or "lightwells" of their Modern Simplicity Series and contrasted them against a luminous teel surface which serves to make the vibrant metals pop.
Clean, crisp and modern, the Modern Simplicity series was first released in 2010 by Michael and Jeffrey Bisaillon and continues to perfectly fuse art and design as they add more colours and variations. Not only do the repeated lightwells lend themselves to concepts of minimalist sculpture but, their vibrant colours also deliberately project light onto the surface behind; extending the impact of the artwork onto a new plane.
