In this original artwork, the brothers have chosen to contrast the holes or "lightwells" against a black resin surface which serves to make the vibrant colours pop.
Clean, crisp and modern, the Modern Simplicity series was first released in 2010 by Michael and Jeffrey Bisaillon and continues to perfectly fuse art and design as they add more colours and variations. Not only do the repeated lightwells lend themselves to concepts of minimalist sculpture but, their vibrant colours also deliberately project light onto the surface behind; extending the impact of the artwork onto a new plane.
