Whispers of the Soul | 2026

Timed to the energy of London Fashion Week, Castle Fine Art presents Whispers of the Soul, a powerful new collection of fifteen original artworks by world-renowned artist and photographer Raphael Mazzucco.

Drawn from a self-directed shoot for Collectible DRY magazine, these works transform couture fashion imagery from page to permanence with a collection full of atmosphere and strength — moving this body of work beyond the editorial moment to sit at the intersection of high fashion and fine art — images not merely captured, but to be lived with.

Whispers of the Soul | 2026

Raphael Mazzucco

Shot in late Summer 2025 on Mazzucco’s own land in Connecticut, and styled by Oretta Corbelli, the shoot brings together couture from some of the world’s most revered fashion houses — Chanel, Prada, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Giorgio Armani — set within misted forest clearings and open landscapes. Removed from runway spectacle and editorial urgency, the garments are treated as sculptural forms, held in light, movement and stillness where fashion becomes presence.

Conceived by Collectible DRY magazine, Whispers of the Soul is a modern fashion editorial rooted in Indigenous inspiration, where the soul is not just a concept, but a presence woven into fabric, landscape, and motion. With a restrained and elemental palette of rust, ochre, deep green, sky blue and soft bone neutrals, Mazzucco grounds the couture within a natural space that feels both contemporary and timeless. Hand-poured resin, collage and surface mark-making transform each work into a dimensional living piece, carrying traces of the shoot beyond the moment it was made.

The world is moving on so far,so quickly, but I feel like these photos will be timeless, capturing a living landscape that I’ve had the joy of experiencing.

The artist

Raphael Mazzucco

Canadian-born artist Raphael Mazzucco's visual narrative captures the human form against a backdrop of startling landscapes that span the continents, from Icelandic glaciers to African wildlife and Vietnamese rice paddies. By layering paint, photography, and hand-lettered text, Raphael takes viewers on a documentary-style journey through geographic and emotional terrains.

His work layers photography with text and natural elements such as flowers and leaves, and Raphael's pieces spring from lengthy expeditions where he lives and breathes his subjects. Raphael's working life actually began as a footballer in Canada and England; something which he credits with giving him the drive to become successful in the next stage of his life. After being shot by iconic photographer Bruce Weber for a Calvin Klein campaign, Raphael developed an interest in the art form and left sport behind.
