Likened to cave paintings, Billy Connolly’s artworks garnered critical acclaim upon their sell-out launch in 2012. A knighthood and countless accolades later, ‘The Big Yin’ has returned with the third release from his incredibly successful Born On A Rainy Day series.
The body of work is inspired by a drizzly day in Montreal, where Billy was on his 2007 Canadian tour. Surrounded by the rain, Billy visited a local art shop and bought felt tip pens and a sketchbook. At first he sketched islands, but these soon turned into his humorous, detailed sketches, which he describes as "pals of mine".
Before the new collection launches online and in galleries on Friday 16th November, we’re offering you exclusive access to Billy’s original artworks. Get in touch to find out more.
