Raise a glass to Bob Dylan's American whiskeys

Acknowledged as the epicentre of both American music and whiskey production, it was only fitting that Bob Dylan's venture should lay its roots in Tennessee. It's home to the distillery and offices of the artist's company, Heaven's Door, which is self-styled as the perfect blend of art and craft. 

Named after his 1973 hit 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door', the 2018 collection included a Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Double Barrel Whiskey and Straight Rye Whiskey finished in oak barrels from France. Collectors may notice the distinctive label design, which incorporates one of the artist's distinctive gates that he designs, assembles and welds in his metalworking studio, Black Buffalo Ironworks. 

Since then, the project has launched in the UK and been featured by Forbes and Rolling Stone. In 2020, he released his Bootleg Series, which featured ceramic bottles bearing his art, including the iconic 'Train Tracks' graphic. In September that year, he recorded an episode for his Theme Time Radio Hour series, in which he discussed the cultural influence of whiskey. 

In an interview with the press, Dylan commented: "You don't always find inspiration. Sometimes it finds you. We wanted to create a collection of American whiskeys that would each tell a story."
