As a licensed Marvel artist, Robert depicts iconic scenes with the help of his trusty pencil. He uses a method called hatching, whereby he shades with closely-drawn parallel lines to imply shade, tone and texture.
This scene is taken from the classic 1932 film, The Mummy, which was released by Universal Studios. In it, screen legend Boris Karloff plays the titular Egyptian mummy Imhotep, who is discovered by a team of archeologists and resurrected using a magic scroll. The movie was inspired by the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922 and was a box office success, especially in the UK.
