This vivid green mixed media original by Raphael Mazzucco showcases the artist's incorporation of a range of materials in his work.
Starting with one or a selection of photographs printed onto an unconventional medium, Raphael draws upon his years of experience as a world-renowned fashion photographer working for such publications as Vogue and Vanity Fair. He then applies layers of acrylic paint and pigmented enamel to add dimension and engender different emotions from the photographs. Enclosing each layer with resin, Raphael also adds text in his own handwriting which blurs the line between written and painted narrative, creating an almost scrapbook page of his thoughts and experiences.
