As a licensed Marvel artist, Robert depicts iconic scenes with the help of his trusty pencil. He uses a method called hatching, whereby he shades with closely-drawn parallel lines to imply shade, tone and texture.
This scene is a publicity shot between actors Oliver Reed and Yvonne Romain for the release of the 1961 Hammer film, The Curse of the Werewolf. Set in 18th century Spain, the plot revolves around Leon - a werewolf struggling with love and his own identity. Howard Thompson of The New York Times noted the beauty of its colour photography, while Hammer Film Productions went on to become a leading name in the Gothic film industry.
