RICHARD ROWAN

From a childhood spent messing around with poster paints on the kitchen table to the fast track world of Formula One, Richard Rowan has trodden an unusual path to success in the art world. Now, his oil paintings on glass are captivating art lovers everywhere, enthralled by the stunning beauty and dramatic power his intriguing techniques can produce.

Blazing skies, scarlet sunrises and arresting landscapes are Richard Rowan’s artistic themes, but it’s his signature method of painting on glass that is unique.

Rowan who was born and brought up in Northampton comes from a design and fine art background, and in 1992 won the Daily Mail’s ‘Artist of the Year’ award.

He takes his inspiration from the great outdoors and is a rigorous note taker, storing digital images and sketches “of anything from the Lake District to Hanoi.” Rowan’s love of the natural world and huge landscapes is palpable.
