As we wander through the rooms of the National Gallery in London or the Museé D’Orsay in Paris we are transported to another world by the great master painters of the past. In these hallowed halls we can find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.
We are only talking about pigment and canvas - but how it is transformed in the hands of Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, and how that transformation speaks through time, is special indeed. Great art tells its story long after the artist and their dealer are gone and it is our dream to find an artist in our time who can take their place among these great masters.
We believe we have found this with Hamish Blakely.
